About the Turkey Trot
The Clark County Turkey Trot started over 10 years ago as a small family and
friend tradition, since then the race has grown to include hundreds of new
families and friends but has maintained its strong legacy as a family-fun
activity for all. The aim of the Turkey Trot is to bring people in the
community together and celebrate the holiday season and each other. The goal of
most of the participants it enjoying quality time with family and friends the
morning of the holiday, and its nice to have an excuse to eat a little more pie!
The race contains both a 5k walk/run and 10k run and participants can choose
what fits them or their family best. We encourage families to run at their own pace, whatever that might
be! The Turkey Trot takes place along the
beautiful Salmon Creek Trail, starting and ending at Klineline Pond in
Vancouver, WA and happens on Thanksgiving morning (Thursday,
November 22, 2012) at 9:00am.
